Emigrated from Wurttemberg, Germany and settled in Kuehlhausen, Duchy of Warsaw, Poland about 1800. Left Kuhlhausen on 26 Sep 1808 with his family to resettle in Neudorf, Russia, travelling first to Lemberg and then via Brody (6 Nov 1808) with a two-span wagon. Also on this trip were his wife Christina Barbara, two children: Johannes and Christina Magdalena, and married son Jakob with his wife Anna Maria, daughters Christina and Katharina, and mother-in-law.
